Frequently asked questions
Find answers to the most common questions about Pulsar GRC.
General
What is Pulsar GRC?
Pulsar GRC is a platform for governance, risk, and compliance work. It organizes audits, CAPA, documents, risks, the Coverage Graph, Gap Analysis, and evidence packs in one workflow, with AI designed for human oversight, decision traceability, and controlled use. Training and scenario exercises are handled by the separate Crewshift app.
Who is Pulsar GRC for?
It is built for organizations that want year-round control over requirements, audits, risks, CAPA, and evidence instead of rebuilding the picture right before an audit. Pulsar GRC supports work around areas such as ISO 27001, ISO 9001, GDPR, and NIS2.
Does Pulsar GRC provide the content of standards or licenses?
No. Your organization works with its own source documents and its own rights to use them. Pulsar GRC helps turn those documents into requirements, controls, evidence, audits, and CAPA, so the Team can see what is covered, where gaps remain, and who owns the next step.
Can I register my company for early access?
Yes. We collect requests through the contact form. After a short conversation, we confirm which scenario will create the most value for your Organization: audit, CAPA, risks, documents, evidence, or the connection between Pulsar GRC and Crewshift.
AI under human oversight
How does AI work in Pulsar GRC?
Pulsar GRC uses AI for document analysis, questionnaire drafts, requirement mapping, and 5-Why support. AI reduces preparation work, but it does not make autonomous decisions; outputs are reviewed by a Quality/Compliance Manager or another authorized person.
Do I choose a specific AI model?
Not in the public self-service model. The offer describes controlled AI support, its scope, and its limits, not user selection of a specific public model. Technical details, processing boundaries, and any private-infrastructure requirements are confirmed during implementation.
Which plan includes AI features?
Controlled AI support is available in Professional and Advanced. The difference is usage limits and operating volume. On-Prem / Private Cloud deployments are priced individually.
Are my data used to train AI?
No. Your Organization’s data are not used to train AI models. AI support works only as assistance on data entered into the process, and final quality and compliance decisions remain with your Team and your Organization.
Security
How are my data protected?
Our implementation model requires encryption at rest and in transit, separation between organization environments, and an isolated Organization Data Area for the database, buckets, RAG/vector store, working cache, and operational knowledge. These controls are verified before an environment is activated, together with backups, monitoring, and retention rules.
Where are data stored?
Data are stored in your Organization’s isolated Data Area. This model helps keep documents, evidence, and operational knowledge organized without mixing them with data from other organizations. Infrastructure, region, and retention details are confirmed in the implementation documentation.
How does Pulsar GRC support GDPR work?
Pulsar GRC supports workflows needed for GDPR work: DSAR registers, access, portability and erasure workflows, consents, data classification, retention, exports, and an audit trail. This gives the Organization better control over who processes data, why, and on what basis.
